“Feet I need you not, for I have wings to fly. “   Frida Kahlo

My watercolors are offered to captivate, excite, and dazzle viewers . For
me, taking risks is part of my journey, by mixing inks, gouache or other
water media to guide, lead and direct my paintings to completion. Solo
shows, as well as participation in outside festival shows and teaching have
given me tremendous opportunities to interact with viewers of my work.

I am currently  President of Clayton Visual Arts, a non-profit volunteer art
organization which brings art to Clayton NC.  I enjoy membership in the
North Carolina Watercolor Society,  Visual Art Exchange in Raleigh,
Beaufort Historical Association and Johnston County Arts Council. Both
Johnston County Medical Center in Clayton NC and Johnston Memorial
Hospital in Smithfield, NC. exhibit a permanent collection of my work as well
as South Bank in New Bern.  My work has been purchased by art collectors
and those for whom art is a delight.  I Have been fortunate to have
received numerous awards and have enjoyed solo as  well as group shows
throughout NC.

Teaching  for me remains an inspiration, allowing students and
experienced artists as well to benefit from renewed and shared
experiences.

On June 2, 2012, I will be participating in the Millstock Art and Music
Festival  in downtown Clayton.  Please stop by and see me. I currently have
work at Right Angles Art Gallery in Clayton, Eye of the Eagle in Clayton and
Handscapes in Beaufort NC.
My work may  be seen in my home studio by appointment .
